I recently recommended the garden-design services of Karen Holley to a friend of mine who had just moved in to a newly built property in Horsham, with what could only really be described as an “awkward shaped mud-pit” for a garden!
Karen came around and took the time to take a good design brief and put together the designs for the clients dream garden, and the results are fantastic!
She has created a fantastic outdoor space which the clients cannot seem to stop raving about (I’ve lost track of the number of barbecues they’ve held in it this summer!).
Many people claim they have what it takes to design a garden, but few can actually deliver. Karens in-depth knowledge not only ensured that they had a fantastic looking garden, but one that was also well constructed, that contained the right plants for the right type of soil, that came in on-time and on-budget, and that would provide them with a fantastic, colourful and bright outdoor space all year around.
I would certainly recommend her services in the future to anyone looking to transform their garden.

Karen has been working on and in our garden for the last 9 months. We had an inclination that our garden had a lot more potential than it was actually showing or revealing to us. Little did we know quite how much until Karen got her 'green fingers' on it! I can't quite describe what a difference Karen has made to our garden and how much more we've been able to enjoy it as a result - you have to see it to believe it!
She has pruned, cut back, reorganised, replanted, potted, used her magic green-fingered touch to such an extent that it has allowed some of the plants that haven't seen the light of day (for years!) to really come to the fore and show their glory. Not only does she have a knack of being able to allow each flower and plant to have their debut on the 'garden stage' (no shrinking violets in this garden!), she uses her extensive knowledge of what will work and what won't for each plant so that they can enjoy and thrive in their environment.
It has really transformed the shape, colour and ambience of our garden - and you make it all seem so effortless, which I know it isn't! We can't wait to see bulbs flowering in spring - that will give another whole new dimension to the place.

We used Holley Designs for a re-design and planting of our garden after I met Karen at a BNI Epsom event and was very impressed with her portfolio.
The whole process ran incredibly smoothly. Karen kept us informed throughout the progress from the initial designs and drawings, through the tender progress of the landscaping firm to the actual building work and planting.
We have loved seeing our garden develop from the snowy start in February on week 2 of the landscaping to the beautiful flowers which have sprung to life this year. It has certainly re-enthused us to the world of gardening.
Karen recently also spent some time with us showing us how to care for our garden in the autumn/winter months.

I was recommended to Karen by my surveyor and she kept in touch during my move into my bungalow regarding the garden there. She drew up a really nice plan for my back garden and now a couple of years later it is looking very attractive.
It does take a while when starting from scratch for a garden to develop and blossom in full. I am still in this stage. The plants were chosen so that I would have blooms all year round and that is really pleasing. The colours in the garden have been carefully chosen too.
I am a new enthusiast gardening and her input has given me the impetus to keep it looking lovely. I felt her bills were very reasonable and it was nice to work with a woman. She will order the plants from her nursery and quote you if that is what you require.
