On the 16th November 2011, I attended Alan James & Co Chartered Accountants' "Understanding Accounts" seminar.
It was an insightful introduction into creative accounting and I gained much information from the course that would enable me to manage my accounts more efficiently.
I believe it is essential to know your accounts otherwise it is difficult to truly know your business which is why I enrolled for this seminar.
Some of the elements it covered were: what type of business was best to create or benefit your personal situation most (eg. Ltd or Sole Trader), how to find your breakeven figure is and how to generally manage and analyse your business accounts - time at the end of the course was given to look at my personal business accounts which was most insightful!
The course was structured, informative and most interesting and I would recommend the course to people at all levels and particularly relevant to business owners of any size.
Alan James and his team are a pleasure to deal with and I would have no hesitation in recommendinghis courses and accountancy services to anyone wishing to change their accountant or anyone who needs a great accountant to get their new business started.
